Chaga mushroom has a purpose in the cycle of nature

"Everything on the Earth has a purpose, every disease an herb to cure it, and every person a mission. This is the Indian theory of existence." - Morning Dove (Christine Quintasket )

Chaga mushrooms are a part of this natural cycle and they too must be respected and used with reverence if they are to succeed with there inherent purpose.

When one considers the unique symbiotic relationship that Chaga has with the Birch tree it does indeed has a very specific purpose. Taking from the Birch tree vital nutrients to survive and flourish and also to extend life to its injured host.

The reproductive cycle of Chaga Mushroom is also very unique compared to other genius of mushrooms. Chaga is so interconnected with the Earth, by growing tubular pores in the same declination of the Earth's axis in relation to the sun, it aims to better its chances of fruiting neighbouring trees.

"Civilization has been thrust upon me...and it has not added one whit to my love for truth, honesty, and generosity." - Luther Standing Bear Oglala Sioux

Respecting the balance of nature is one lesson Chaga teaches us. Pray it does not fall upon deaf ears.
